Career Services - Information for Employers
Employers requesting to conduct On-Campus Recruitment Events (OCR) are able to do so in several settings. Employers may request a General Information session either as a luncheon or as a dinner, RSVP Company Information session either as a luncheon or as a dinner, a half day of interviews or a full day of interviews. Events may be requested by completing and submitting an Employer OCR Registration Form to Career Services via fax at 215-596-8792 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note registration/booking fees are separate from that of catering by Sodexo. Catering orders can be placed on-line, please indicate preference on OCR Registration Form.
General Company Information Sessions
Marketed via general announcements electronically and hard-copy flyer posting to the requested major(s) and campus community. Career Services Staff will serve as event booking coordinator for logistical purposes. In this setting, a company may present information on the company’s uniqueness, products and services to students. This is also an opportunity to find out more about students’ interests in the opportunities available. Catering through Sodexo is available and is subject to their menu and pricing.
RSVP Company Information Sessions
Marketed via electronic invitation to the requested major(s), appropriate faculty and student organizations (where applicable). Career Services Staff serve as event planner/coordinator for logistical purposes. Usually a smaller venue, in this setting a company may present information to students and find out more about students’ interests in the opportunities available. Catering through Sodexo is available and is subject to their menu and pricing.
Marketed electronically to the requested major(s), appropriate faculty and student organizations (where applicable). Career Services Staff will serve as scheduling agent for logistical purposes. A description of position(s) available is required for interview scheduling purposes on College Central Network. Interviews are conducted in the Career Services Center, currently located in Whitecar Hall, Suite 2400, unless otherwise noted. Virtual Interviews are conducted via the University’s Interview Stream software; please contact Career Services directly for this service.
The Career Services Department uses the College Central Network, allowing employers to:
- post open full-time, and internship positions directly to our online job board
- receive applications via email directly from interested students and alumni
- search online resumes
- schedule interviews
- extend the offer

USciences offers several opportunities for employers to interact with our students on campus. On-line registration is offered to employers with payment due prior or with special permission thirty (30) days after the event.
Annual Fall Career Fair
Held in October of each academic year, the Annual Fall Career Fair is usually the first opportunity students have to meet employers and find out more information about the various companies that employ students within their major. Students within their 2nd- 6th year, regardless of major, are encouraged to attend and find out about opportunities ranging from internships to full-time employment.
Science Career Fair
This event is held in March of each academic year. This is an opportunity for students in the life, applied and health related sciences to have an opportunity to interact with employers seeking their majors to find out about opportunities ranging from internships to full-time employment.
Employers that have position(s) that are in immediate need of being filled may request Career Services to send resumes of students and/or alumni for immediate consideration. If an Employer is registered on College Central Network (CNN), but does not have Resume Search approval, resumes will be selected based on major, job targets sought and/or any specific student qualifications as noted by Employer and sent to the registered contact (unless the Career Services Department (CSD) is provided a different contact name and e-mail address). Students and/or alumni selected will receive an e-mail via CCN to their registered e-mail address notifying them a Resume Referral has been made on their behalf. Please allow 3-5 business days for completion of Resume Referrals via CCN.
If an Employer is not registered on College Central Network a resume referral may be requested. A description of position(s) will be required in order to market to appropriate students and/or alumni. A Career Services staff member will service as point of contact for employer, students and/or alumni. Resumes will be reviewed by CSD Staff Member only for proper formatting of submitting resume. CSD will not evaluate resumes for an employer in a Recruiter capacity, unless specifically requested. One business day after resume submission deadline, resumes will be sent to contact via e-mail or fax. Please allow 5-10 business days for completion of Resume Referrals via CSD Staff.
