Career Services - Information for Parents and Families

The Career Services Department is available to all USciences students to assist them in determining their career. We provide counseling, assessments, workshops, presentations and a wide range of other programs. In addition we also provide information on summer internship and part-time jobs. We also assist students who are planning to pursue professional or graduate school or are trying to obtain permanent post-graduation employment.

Students are welcome to stop by the CSD anytime to set up an appointment with a counselor, or to stop by during one of our walk-in hours. We also encourage students to come in and check out our Career Resource Library (appointments are not needed).

The Career Services Department is not a placement agency - we cannot guarantee anyone a job. Our role is to provide resources and information that will make the job search much easier. Career development is a lifelong process. Throughout their lifetimes, USciences graduates will continuously pursue professional success and fulfillment. We aim to be partners with students and alumni in order to empower them as they pursue their career goals.

How Families Can Help

Support Involvement in Student Organizations, Clubs & Sports

Opportunities to demonstrate leadership ability, teamwork, time management, and other career-related skills will help your student prepare for the world of work.

Promote Summer Internships and/or Part-time Work Experiences

It is critical for students to get work experience before they graduate. Many employers use these programs to fill full-time openings. Many avenues should be used when searching for a job, a great place to start is with us! Please urge your student to sign-up for a free account on our online internship/job posting board at
