It’s On US campaign at USciences
Developed by the Center for American Progress with the White House, It’s On US is a national campaign and cultural movement aimed at fundamentally shifting the way we think about sexual assault, by encouraging everyone to see it as their responsibility to do something to prevent it. USciences has signed on to become a campus partner in this campaign and is committed to creating an environment where sexual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported.
The first step in joining the national movement is to make a personal commitment to stop sexual assault by signing the It's On US pledge:
- To RECOGNIZE that non-consensual sex is sexual assault.
- To IDENTIFY situations in which sexual assault may occur.
- To INTERVENE in situations where consent has not or cannot be given.
- To CREATE an environment in which sexual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported.
