Freshman Admission Entry Option - Accelerated Pathway to the DrOT

Our accelerated pathway to the DrOT degree provides you with a BS in Health Sciences after 3½ years of full-time study and a Doctor of Occupational Therapy (DrOT) after an additional 2½ years of full-time study. No additional application to enter the professional phase is required for students who have declared occupational therapy as their major. Students in the accelerated BSHS/DrOT program who achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 and a program specific cumulative GPA of 3.00 (all courses with an OT prefix and prerequisites for the DrOT program) are guaranteed a place in the professional phase of the occupational therapy curriculum typically beginning in May of the third year of study at USciences.

  1. Submit your official high school transcripts from all high schools you have attended. A list of senior year coursework must be present.
  2. Send us your SAT or ACT scores. Or both. We superscore, so we will use the exam you perform best on.

  1. Be sure to complete one of the Common Application essay prompts.
  2. Submit a letter of recommendation. Up to two additional letters may be submitted. You can use our recommendation form.
