Message from the Dean of Samson College of Health Sciences
Samson College students practice what we teach. Hands-on education with clinical patients and health promotion—integrated with theoretical, online, and service learning—lie at the heart of our health professions curriculum.
You immediately start your education here in your field of interest—from year one through your professional phase. Practical experience at leading Philadelphia medical systems, rehabilitation centers, geriatric facilities, and exercise and community centers offers invaluable exposure to patients most relevant in today’s healthcare environment— including elderly patients and underserved rural and urban populations. A sharp focus on “health vs. illness” also puts you in step with emerging health reforms and healthcare trend in wellness and prevention.
Choose among cutting-edge health profession programs in Exercise Science and Wellness Management, Health Science, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy. Enroll in the first entry-level OT doctoral program east of the Mississippi—one of only seven in the nation. Take a six-year fast track to a clinical doctorate in Physical or Occupational Therapy.
Whichever specialty you pursue, our inter-professional, science-centered education gives you a rock-solid foundation for clinical practice.
Along the way, you’ll have the chance to work with seasoned faculty members—expert practitioners eager to serve as talented teachers, experienced research partners, and professional mentors. State-of-the-art clinical laboratories, equipment, and facilities also support your projects, research, and evidence-based practice.
Our students continue to thrive in the healthcare marketplace after graduation, with ongoing encouragement and career advice from faculty, alumni, and fellow classmates.
Put simply, Samson College graduates some of the best health professionals in the industry. Won’t you join us? I personally invite you to browse this website to learn more about the programs—and possibilities—we have to offer.
