Office of Sponsored Projects and Research
The Office of Sponsored Projects and Research (OSPR) is the central office at the University of the Sciences for the receipt and dissemination of funding opportunities. It is a central source of information on major government agencies, foundations, and corporations which support research and scholarship. OSPR provides assistance to faculty members, administrators, and students from conceptual development and planning through implementation and management of funded projects.
Faculty, students and staff should visit the OSPR Community on Blackboard for comprehensive information, forms, etc.
Key Responsibilities and Activities:
The Office of Sponsored Projects and Research provides services to the University research and education community in the following areas:
- Search for Funds
- Proposal development
- Review proposals
- Negotiate awards
- Administer agreements for scholarly research, education, and training programs
- Compliance with all applicable sponsor regulations and University policies and procedures
- Notify and update the University community about funding opportunities as well as sponsor policies and application guidelines
- Educate faculty on the most advantageous approaches to grant seeking
- Facilitate research collaborations
