Fellowship Eligibility Requirements and Application Process

Eligibility Requirements

Fellowship candidates must hold or receive a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy by the start of the fellowship year. Candidates must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and communicate a strong interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry.

Application Process

Candidates can request a first-round interview through the Personnel Placement Service (PPS) or via email (pharmafellows@usciences.edu) starting October 21, 2020. Requests for first-round interviews will be evaluated on a rolling basis. These interviews will take place December 6 to 8 during ASHP Midyear.

Interested candidates must submit a completed formal application through the USciences Application Portal by December 2, 2020 (prior to the start of ASHP Midyear)*.  Search for the respective fellowship program and submit your application along with a letter of intent, curriculum vitae, a writing sample, three references (names and contact information), and unofficial college transcript(s). The writing sample should showcase your individual technical skills in medical writing, such as a drug information response from class or APPEs, a newsletter article that you authored, etc. Co-authored manuscripts would not be considered since we are looking for an example of your own individual ability.

*NOTE: Applicants who are interested in the Janssen Biologics Product Development & Investigational Drug Trial Design and Management Fellowship do not submit the formal application on the USciences Application Portal. They will receive additional information about the formal application process after the first-round interview at ASHP Midyear.
