Alumnus Owned Pharmacy Distributed COVID Vaccine to Community
USciences Philadelphia College of Pharmacy alumnus Mayank Amin PharmD’09 was featured in two stories from The Philadelphia Inquirer about his pharmacy, Skippack Pharmacy, distributing a delivery of the COVID-19 vaccine to their community.
Dr. Amin and his team distributed 1,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines during a vaccine clinic held on a snowy Super Bowl Sunday on February 7. An additional 200 doses were saved and given to qualifying members of the community who were not able to leave their homes.
"The community has truly become a family to us,” Dr. Amin told The Inquirer. “We’re saving lives, we’re helping people. We’re doing things for which we’re being called upon. It’s time for us to rise and rise together.”
Full stories about Dr. Amin and Skippack Pharmacy’s vaccine delivery and immunization clinic are available through The Philadelphia Inquirer.
