Amy Janke, PhDAmy Janke, PhD, associate professor of psychology, has been accepted as a Fellow into the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. Founded in 1787, the College of Physicians is a group of physicians, civic leaders, public health advocates, and scholars whose mission is to advance the cause of health and uphold the ideals and heritage of medicine.

Dr. Janke, who is currently serving as chair for the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences, is also the director of the USciences Health Behavior Research Lab. In the lab, Dr. Janke works with students to conduct research concerning the intersection of health behaviors, psychological risk factors, and chronic disease-focusing specifically on the relationship between obesity and pain.

As a College of Physicians Fellow, Dr. Janke will have access to the college’s resources such as their vast historical medical library, as well as connections with other Fellows.
