USciences, Cabrini Sign Articulation Agreement
University of the Sciences and Cabrini University have signed two articulation agreements allowing students who graduate from Cabrini to transition into USciences’ Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Program.
Eligible students will study at Cabrini University for three years and then have the option to apply and transfer to the USciences’ PharmD program. After completing three years at Cabrini and their first year at USciences, students will earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology or Chemistry from Cabrini University. The USciences PharmD degree will be awarded after students successfully complete the requirements in the professional curriculum of the Doctor of Pharmacy Program, typically four years from transferring.
A second agreement was signed to allow students who complete a four-year degree from Cabrini in either Biology or Chemistry to transition into the USciences PharmD degree program, where they can complete the requirements of the professional curriculum, which typically occurs in four years.
“The PharmD partnership with University of the Sciences will benefit our students tremendously,” said Richard J. Thompson Jr., PhD, Dean of Cabrini University’s School of Natural Sciences and Allied Health. “Both degree options—3+4 and 4+4—provide special consideration for Cabrini students to earn their doctorate at USciences in the competitive field of pharmacy.”
“This partnership with Cabrini will ensure a clear pathway for qualified students interested in pursuing a career in Pharmacy,” said Elisabeth Morlino, PhD, USciences’ Interim Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. “We are excited about the opportunity this collaboration with Cabrini University offers for the University and our students.”
USciences was founded as Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, North America’s first college of pharmacy nearly 200 years ago. The PharmD program offers students a unique competency-driven professional curriculum proven to prepare them for a variety of careers.
