Cathleen O’Connell, RPh, MS, PhD, assistant professor in the Biomedical Writing Programs, recently published the first book on pharmaceutical labeling entitled “Essentials
of Healthcare Product Labeling” published by the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society
(RAPS).
Listen to Dr. O'Connell speak about the issue of product labeling on the RAPS podcast.
Dr. O’Connell is editor and author and collaborated with subject matter experts across the industry as well as a few USciences graduate students and instructors on the book, which fills a need for a reference for regulatory professionals in the pharmaceutical, biologics, and device industries.
Dr. O’Connell began her professional life as a hospital pharmacist before a long career as an executive in the pharmaceutical industry, where she had responsibilities including medical information, medical writing, regulatory affairs, and pharmaceutical labeling. Dr. O’Connell is also a rated pilot.
