Students Advocate for Legislative Issues in Harrisburg

Legislative DayStudents from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy joined students from other pharmacy schools in PA to advocate for legislative issues help support the practice of pharmacy and patients at the annual PPA Legislative Day at the state capitol building.

Legislative DayStudents participated with legislative officials from both the House and the Senate to discuss pertinent issues such as fair reimbursement for services in medicaid, addressing the gag clause, and expanding pharmacists' immunization laws. 

Additionally, students joined the other pharmacy schools on the steps of the capital rotunda to rally in support for pharmacists throughout the commonwealth. Throughout the day students provided blood glucose screenings to capitol staff and provided dietary education for patients with diabetes.
