Grad Students Learn About Opportunities at Networking Event

PanelGSO eventIn an effort to help students explore opportunities and avenues that might not be along their conventional career paths, the Graduate Student Organization hosted its annual Career Pathways event on May 1.

This year’s activities included speed networking, a reception and panel discussion. The panel, moderated by Andrew Peterson PhD'09, Pharm D, John Wyeth Dean Emeritus and executive director of the Substance Use Disorders Institute, included many alumni from a variety of organizations. The panelists included Susan Connelly PharmD'00, MBA’06, grant manager team lead, G. Thomas Caltagirone Chem’92 PhD, president and CEO at Aptagen, Darshan Kulkarni PharmD'02, VP of Regulatory Strategy and Policy at Synchrogenix, and Sarah Kleinpeter Chem'06, global commercial leader for liver disease at GSK.

GSO Event Speed NetworkingThe Graduate Student Organization’s purposes is to create a sense of community and a collaborative environment among graduate students at USciences. The organization strives to increase communication channels on a social, cultural, as well as professional level among graduate students, faculty, staff, and alumni through community events, networking and social/professional activities on campus.
