Opportunity ScholarshipAs the cost of higher education continues to be a barrier to many students in need, University of the Sciences is opening the door to rewarding careers in science and healthcare with a USciences Opportunity Scholarship. This scholarship makes tuition one less hurdle on the road to success for eligible Philadelphia high school students who otherwise might find a university degree to be unaffordable.

After federal and state grant funding has been awarded, the USciences Opportunity Scholarship will cover 100 percent of the remaining tuition and general fee for the first four years of a student’s program of study.

“The Opportunity Scholarship is another way that University of the Sciences is giving back to the Philadelphia community,” said David Forde, vice president for community and government affairs. “It’s important to USciences that we continue to reach out to students in need, especially those students in Philadelphia, who would benefit from a science or healthcare career that is the result of a USciences education.”

Interested students should visit usciences.edu/OppScholarship to learn more about the scholarship requirements and application steps. Deadline for applying is March 1.
