USciences Names Dr. Patricia Audet Interim Dean of Its Philadelphia College of Pharmacy

Patricia AudetUniversity of the Sciences president Dr. Paul Katz has named Patricia R. Audet P’76, PharmD'78 interim dean of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy beginning July 1, 2017. Dr. Audet replaces Dean Lisa A. Lawson, PharmD, who had announced her decision to step down in May 2016 and who had been serving as dean during a search process.

Dr. Audet, who brings more than 15 years of experience in undergraduate, professional, and graduate education, has been chair for the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Business Department in Mayes College of Healthcare Business and Policy since 2009. Prior to her re-joining the University, Dr. Audet started her industry work with SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals in 1989 (which would become GlaxoSmithKline in 2000) as a clinical pharmacology program manager. She became a vice president in 1997; her responsibilities over the next 12 years included project management, research and development integration, business development, and preclinical technology initiatives.  

After unsuccessfully filling the dean position from a pool of internal and external candidates, the University will begin a new search and engage the executive search firm Witt/Kieffer.
