John Patro Jr. Named Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy at USciences

John PatroJohn Patro Jr., OTD, OTR/L, has been named assistant professor of occupational therapy at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. He comes to USciences with experience as the program director of an occupational therapy assistant program at Bryant & Stratton College in Syracuse, N.Y. 

In addition to his role as program director at Bryant & Stratton College, he previously worked as an assistant professor and academic fieldwork coordinator at Temple University. At USciences, Dr. Patro will instruct courses and labs while also precepting student fieldwork. He also has clinical experience working in the rehab setting and rehab administration. Dr. Patro has presented at numerus national and international conferences on his work in occupational engagement and leadership in occupational therapy.

Dr. Patro earned a doctor of occupational therapy from Chatham University and his bachelor of science and master of science in occupational therapy from The University of Scranton. He is currently pursuing his doctor of philosophy in education from Lesley University concentrating in adult learning and development.

Originally from Ridley Park, Pa., Dr. Patro currently resides in Media.
