Gabrielle Giannetti Named Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator at USciences
Gabrielle Giannetti, MS, OTR/L, has been named assistant professor of occupational
therapy and academic fieldwork coordinator at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
She comes to the University after several years working with patients with various
medical conditions at Holy Redeemer Hospital and Medical Center in Meadowbrook, Pa.
Giannetti’s research interests include fieldwork education, orthopedics in acute care, and sub-acute rehabilitation and professionalism in occupational therapy students. At USciences, she will be coordinating student fieldwork rotations, teaching fieldwork-related courses, and educating students during their rotations.
Giannetti earned her bachelor of science and master of science degree in occupational therapy from Elizabethtown College. Giannetti is also working towards her doctorate in occupational therapy degree. Her thesis project is focused on the impact of professional behaviors on the success of academics and fieldwork. A Glenside, Pa. native, Giannetti currently resides in Willow Grove, Pa. with her two dogs. She spends her free time with family and friends, listening to music, cooking, or working in her garden.
