Dr. Sungwook Kim Named Assistant Professor of Statistics at USciences
Sungwook Kim, PhD, has been named assistant professor of statistics at University
of the Sciences in Philadelphia. He comes to USciences with experience as a post-doctoral
fellow in biostatistics research at the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute
of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Dr. Kim’s research interests in statistics include optimal experimental design under
multivariate Weibull distribution, confidence intervals for the survival distribution
of event times in current status data, and testing hypothesis for the difference between
correlated inverse coefficient of variation. At USciences, Dr. Kim will teach courses
in biostatistics and statistics for research.
Dr. Kim earned his PhD in statistics from University of Missouri-Columbia. He currently
lives in Cherry Hill, N.J., with his wife Bokyung Kim and infant son Christian. In
his free time, Dr. Kim enjoys running and has completed three marathons and one half
marathon.
