Dr. Ryan G. D’Angelo Named Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at USciences

RyanRyan G. D’Angelo, PharmD, was named assistant professor of clinical pharmacy at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. He comes to the University after completing a residency in pharmacotherapy at University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and University of Maryland Medical Center, where he focused on internal medicine.

Dr. D’Angelo’s research has focused on AmpC enzyme producing bacterial infections and how to optimize the transitions of care as patient’s progress through different hospital settings. He plans to continue that research at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania where he will practice as an internal medicine pharmacy specialist. At USciences, Dr. D’Angelo will be facilitating case discussions for second-year students as well as teaching in various elective courses.

Dr. D’Angelo, who is originally from Highland, Mich., graduated with a bachelor of science from Grand Valley State University and completed his doctor of pharmacy at Ferris State University.
