Dr. Daniel Ventricelli Named Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at USciences

Daniel VentricelliDaniel Ventricelli, PharmD, MPH, has been named assistant professor of clinical pharmacy at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. He comes to the University with hands on experience working with patients dealing with substance abuse and opioid addictions gained during a community pharmacy practice fellowship with East Tennessee State University.

Dr. Ventricelli’s research and practice interests include interprofessional health communication, community pharmacy, public health, and substance abuse prevention and treatment. At USciences, he will teach courses including community pharmacy practice, substance abuse treatment and prevention, and public health. 

Dr. Ventricelli completed a community pharmacy residency at Kroger Pharmacy through a partnership with West Virginia University. During that residency, he also worked at Chestnut Ridge Center for Mental Health Services in Morgantown, WV, where he saw first-hand the struggles of patients trying to overcome addiction. 

Dr. Ventricelli also earned his master of public health degree in community and behavioral health from East Tennessee State University. He earned his bachelor of science in pharmacy studies and doctor of pharmacy degree at University of Connecticut. A native of Milford, Conn., Dr. Ventricelli currently lives in Philadelphia.
