University of the Sciences Names Dr. Marc Caserio Athletic Director

University of the Sciences has named Marc Caserio, EdD, athletic director effective immediately USciences Interim President Marvin Samson announced. Caserio has been filling the role of interim athletic director since August 2014.

Over the course of the past seven months, Marc Caserio has proven to be a capable and dedicated leader for USciences athletics," said Samson. "Marc brings an infectious enthusiasm to the role and is respected both inside and outside USciences."

Caserio joined USciences in 2003, serving as director of campus recreation from 2007 to 2014. He earned his EdD in higher education leadership and innovation from Wilmington University in December 2014. In his tenure as interim athletic director, Caserio began a spirit committee to increase campus support for Devils home games. He also plans to introduce an end-of-the-year banquet to honor student-athletes and their families.

Caserio, who is a Philadelphia native, will oversee a department that features 12 Division II teams that compete in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference and the Mid Atlantic Rifle Conference.
