Dr. Jason Zupec Named Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at USciences

Jason Zupec, PharmD, has been named assistant professor of clinical pharmacy at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. He comes to the University having recently completed a specialty residency in ambulatory care and family medicine at the University of Colorado.

Dr. Zupec's research interests include cardiovascular risk reduction, chronic drug therapy management, and developing new clinical pharmacy services in the ambulatory care setting.

At USciences, his teaching responsibilities are within the doctor of pharmacy program as an instructor in clinical skills and case studies courses. He will also oversee introductory and advanced pharmacy practice fieldwork at Penn-Presbyterian Internal Medicine clinics. 

A native of Mentor, Ohio, Dr. Zupec received his doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Cincinnati and a teaching certificate from the Northeastern Medical University College of Pharmacy. He also completed a post-graduate pharmacy residency at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio.
