Partnership Program with St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine

A direct entry to a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with an international focus is available to USciences students through an arrangement with St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine (SGU-SVM).

SGU-SVM, on the island of Grenada in the Caribbean, emphasizes worldwide practice application, community service, and clinical research exposure. The selective, invitation-only program gives strong consideration to students who meet the requirements and are interested in practicing veterinary medicine.

Program Options

Two program options feature either three or four years as USciences, followed by four years at SGU-SVM—allowing you to earn both Bachelor of Science (BS) and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degrees.

3+4 Program

In the accelerated 3+4 program, you must complete three years at USciences as a biology or biomedical sciences major. After successful completion of your first year at SGU-SVM, you’ll receive your BS degree from USciences. After successful completion of four years at SGU-SVM, you’ll receive your DVM degree.

4+4 Program

In the 4+4 program, you must complete four years at USciences as a biology or biomedical sciences major. Then, after successful completion of four years at SGU-SVM, you’ll receive your DVM degree.
