Early Acceptance Program with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine

If you’re interested in entering the osteopathic profession, USciences offers partnership with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM).

There are only 10 seats (five for Erie, PA and five for Bradenton, FL campuses) reserved each year for USciences students. Applicants meeting specific requirements will be interviewed by LECOM. Students who receive a provisional acceptance to LECOM and accept the offer may not apply to any other medical school. Application to another medical school will result in the loss of the student’s provisional acceptance.

Program Options

Program options feature either three or four years at USciences, followed by four years at LECOM—allowing you to earn both Bachelor of Science (BS) and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degrees.

3+4 Program

In the accelerated 3+4 program, you must first complete three years at USciences as a biology or biomedical sciences major. After completing your first year at LECOM, you’ll receive your BS degree from USciences. After successfully completing four years at LECOM, you’ll receive your DO degree.

4+4 Program

In the 4+4 program, you must complete four years at USciences in any major to earn your BS degree. Then, after successfully completing four years at LECOM, you’ll receive your DO degree.
