Dual Degree Program FAQ
How do I apply for a Dual Degree Program?
Application is by invitation-only for applicants who are accepted to USciences, meet the GPA and SAT or ACT requirements, and have indicated the “pre-med” specialization option on the Common Application. After receiving acceptance to USciences, these eligible incoming first year students will receive a letter from the Admission Office regarding next steps to apply for the Dual Degree Program.
May I apply for more than one program?
You may only apply for one Dual Degree Program. Review information regarding our Dual Degree Program partners and eligibility requirements found on our website and choose an institution whose mission aligns with your career aspirations.
What is the application timeframe?
Dual Degree Program applications are mailed approximately one week after the offer of admission to USciences is sent to the accepted student. The priority deadline for receipt of the completed Dual Degree Program application is December 11. It is suggested that you begin the process of consideration by applying to USciences using the Common Application no later than November 15, in order to meet the December 11 deadline. Be sure to select the “pre-med” specialization option for consideration.
Does USciences require an interview for Dual Degree applicants?
Yes, an in-person interview, held on campus, is required for consideration.
How will I know if I am invited to interview for the program I applied for?
If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted at the email address you listed on your Dual Degree Program application. Interviews are held between February and April. Be sure to check your junk/spam folder in your e-mail regularly to ensure you do not miss your invitation to interview.
After interviewing for a Dual Degree Program, when will I find out whether I have been offered admission to the program?
Decision letters will be mailed in April through USPS by the USciences Admission Office.
