Department of Information Science
The Department of Information Science is comprised of the faculty librarians of the Joseph W. England Library. The mission of the Department and the J. W. England Library is to assist USciences students and our other users to find the information they need and to teach them information literacy concepts and skills. We select and acquire appropriate information resources, and organize, facilitate, and safeguard access to those resources. We provide a welcoming and dynamic environment with space for both collaborative and individual learning. We preserve our historic collections and the University’s archives, and we contribute to librarianship through scholarly activity.
