Each program combines scientific theory with practical applications: You’ll have the chance to gain valuable hands-on experience with our diverse, student-centered faculty, who conduct a variety of innovative research. USciences alumni, students working on the front lines in healthcare institutions were among some of the first to be vaccinated for COVID-19. For many, the vaccine is a sign of hope for the future and a symbol of the importance of science and healthcare.

Associate Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry Zhihong Wang, PhD, has been awarded over $122,000 from the WW Smith Charitable Trust to fund her project entitled "Development of Novel Allosteric Inhibitors Targeting the MAPK Signaling Pathway in Lung Cancer".

- Alumna Broadcasts Black, Female Experience on Black Women Pharmacists, The Podcast

In an effort to provide an outlet to support Black Women pharmacists and highlight their success in the field, Ijeoma Ekeocha PharmD'09, Clinical Pharmacy Manager for Specialty Pharmacy Services at a large academic institution in New York City, created a podcast in 2020, Black Women Pharmacists, with no previous experience.
