Application Process

Then:

  • Submit official college transcripts from all colleges attended. If you attended USciences we will obtain this transcript for you.
  • Submit an 1000-word personal statement explaining your short and long term study and career goals. Also, please identify at least two of the program’s faculty whose research interests align most closely with yours. personal statement may be submitted as part of application via the application portal, as an email enclosure, or sent separately via postal mail.
  • Submit resume or CV
  • Submit three letters of recommendation.

BA or BS from an accredited university or college, or be currently enrolled in an undergraduate / first-professional degree program at USciences

Prerequisites for the Pharmacognosy, Analytical and Natural Products Chemistry Option:

  • Calculus (2 semesters)
  • Organic Chemistry, with laboratory (2 semesters)
  • Analytical Chemistry (1 semester)
  • Literature of Chemistry (1 semester)
  • English composition (1 semester)
  • Organismal or Population Biology (1 semester)
  • Cell Biology or Biochemistry (1 semester)
  • Statistics (1 semester)

Prerequisites for Pharmacognosy, Biotechnology and Metabolic Engineering Option:

  • Calculus (2 semesters)
  • Organic Chemistry, with laboratory (2 semesters)
  • Analytical Chemistry (1 semester)
  • Literature of Chemistry (1 semester)
  • English composition (1 semester)

Required Examinations

GRE

All graduate students, regardless of program, take a set of four entrance examinations that are designed to measure their chemistry background. Students may take any individual examination more than once, but they are required to pass the entire set of examinations within one year of matriculation.
