Health Policy, MS, PhD

Health policy dominates the national political conversation as serious healthcare issues impact a growing number of Americans. The graduate Health Policy program from USciences will prepare you to affect systemic change through the analysis and development of smart, evidence-based, and comprehensive health care policies.

Through a combination of coursework, research, and hands-on practice, you’ll examine the primary factors driving health care policy — access, quality, cost, and innovation — and how they apply to a broad range of stakeholders, including hospitals, health systems, pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies, and more.

Choose from a master of science or PhD in Health Policy, both offered with a flexible part-time and evening class schedule. Our alumni forge rewarding and influential careers in government, private, and academic settings.

What Sets Us Apart?

  1. Our strong interdisciplinary focus means you’ll learn to analyze health policy issues through many lenses, including regulatory, economics, sociology, epidemiology, and statistics.
  2. Our small program size ensures access to our impressive faculty, recognized experts in health economics, urban health, pharmaceutical outcomes research, and public health policy.
  3. USciences boasts university-wide expertise in pharmaceuticals, making this an excellent place to study policy issues related to this global industry.
  4. The individualized curriculum trains students in three principal areas: policy analysis skills, research methods, and developing an area of expertise that is unique to each student.
  5. We offer part-time and evening courses to accommodate today’s working professionals. Very few doctoral programs in the region offer this level of individual attention and flexibility.
