    MLK Day of Service

    The MLK Day of Service Planning Committee has coordinated several virtual activities during USciences MLK Day of Service on Monday, January 17, 2022 beginning at 11:30 a.m. 

    To honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the University community will be united for a day of service dedicated to bettering the community, empowering individuals, and bridging barriers.

    Speaker- Dr. Crystal Edwards
    Dr. Crystal Edwards, principal at W.D. Kelley School and Founder and President of Empowering Single Moms, Inc. talks about service and humanity.

    Open Discussion on Covid-19 vaccine hesitancy and distrust in the Black and African American community.

    2 p.m.–3 p.m.

    The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council will provide updates on DEI efforts with an eye to the future. Dr. Nicole Stokes, Associate Provost of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Saint Joseph's University, will speak on current and future efforts at Saint Joseph's for diversity, equity and inclusion
