Awarding of bachelor’s degrees for DrOT, DPT, MSPAS, and PharmD Students

As a DrOT, DPT, MSPAS, or PharmD student who entered the University as a first-year student before earning a bachelor’s degree, you are eligible to earn a bachelor’s degree as outlined by your program even as you continue your matriculation towards your professional degree.

Students who anticipate graduating with a minor should check with their program director and/or department chair to verify completion of the minor.

The ceremony is scheduled for 2 p.m., and will be held at the ARC’s Bobby Morgan Arena on campus.

The ceremony will be a full cap-and-gown affair, with students being acknowledged individually by the faculty for the earning of their degrees.  Latin honors and the completion of minors will be acknowledged at the ceremony.  We will invite a guest speaker, and in addition, we will ask each of the colleges to select a graduate to speak to the graduates, faculty, and guests.

    About the Bobby Morgan Arena

    • Seating is on a first come, first serve basis
    • Doors will open one hour prior to the ceremony

Legacy Society Seating and Photo Opportunity

At USciences, legacy is defined as any individual – University student or alumnus – with a familial connection to another University student or alumnus, including those related by marriage.

Alumni Relations is pleased to celebrate the long-standing tradition of generations of families who have attended University of the Sciences in Philadelphia with our Legacy Society.

We would like to offer seating in the reserved section to Legacy Society guests of our graduates.

If any of your guests – parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins or siblings – are alumni of USciences, then your party is eligible for Legacy Seating in the Reserved Section.

Please send an email to Casey Ryan, Director of Alumni Relations, with the following information:

    • Your parent’s name
    • Legacy Society member’s name (if not one of your parents)
    • Number of guests in the party

With this information, we will be able to guarantee space in the Reserved Section for your guests and follow up with the timing for our legacy photo with your family.

After the ceremony, all legacy families are invited to the ARC Conference room for a photo opportunity to commemorate the event.

    Guests and Tickets

Each graduate will receive four tickets for family and/or friends. All guests must have a ticket to enter.  Tickets will be distributed by your Dean’s office in mid-April.

Professional photographs will be taken during the event

Accessibility at the Athletic Recreation Center

The ARC is accessible via a ramp in the front of the building.  Guests in wheelchairs will be seated on the upper concourse.

Parking for patrons with a visible disability placard or license plate is available near the main entrance.

    Diploma Distribution

Diplomas will not be distributed at the ceremony.  Diplomas will be mailed directly to the degree recipients approximately four to six weeks after the ceremony.  Please make sure your preferred mailing address is correct in Workday.

    Regalia: Caps and Gowns

Graduates are now able to order their cap and gown for our upcoming ceremony. The deadline to order is Tuesday, March 22, 2022.   There is no cost to our graduates to place their order. Regalia will ship directly to USciences.  Graduates will receive a confirmation email from Oak Hall after placing their order.

    Order Regalia Now

USciences provides a mortarboard style hat, gown, and hood. Regalia will be distributed at the Graduate Fair on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in the Athletic Recreation Center Multipurpose Room. Additionally, it will be available for pick up the morning of Conferment in the ARC Rec Gym.
