USciences Tutoring Center Celebrates National Tutor Appreciation Week

Published on October 12, 2017

Tutor Appreciation WeekThe USciences Tutoring Center celebrated “National Student Appreciation Week” for the first time with a Peer Tutor and Student Staff breakfast.

On October 6, 2017 peer tutors and student staff celebrated the occasion relaxing and picking up a quick bite before class. It was the Center’s first event to celebrate the week to recognize the students' hard work and dedication towards their fellow students’ academic success.

The center hopes to build upon this event for next year and for it to become a campus wide celebration of its student staff and peer tutors.

For the first time, The Tutoring Center has launched a Portal Page on Blackboard to provide students with access to request a peer tutor, survey a peer tutor, view academic webinars and more.

Students and the USciences community may view and utilize the Tutoring Center’s services by logging into Blackboard, navigating to the Community tab, and selecting “Tutoring Center”. Questions? Contact us at tutoringcenter@usciences.edu.
