Approximately 60 USciences students of various majors attended the USciences Astronomy
Observation Night hosted by the Society of Physics Students (SPS) on April 16, 2019, 8 pm at the Quad/Goodman Parking Lot.
Students took turns using USciences's largest telescope (9 inch aperture) and binoculars supplied by the Physics Wonder Girls Program. Physics Prof. Bernie Brunner was on hand to assist students using the telescope for astronomical observations.
The USciences SPS chapter, recognized nationally as an Outstanding Chapter for the last three years by the American Institute of Physics, hosts Observation Night every semester.
