USciences Student Holds Donation Drive for Puerto Rico
Published on November 10, 2017
Jessica Debski PharmD’20 hosted a donation drive on campus for those individuals who suffered in Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Debski accepted items including water, diapers, medicine, canned food, and batteries.
“I did not do this on behalf of an organization but just off of a certain motivation
I had to help these people in need. Too often we send our thoughts and prayers, but
no one takes action, so I wanted to show everyone that it IS possible to take action
yourself,” Debski said.
The drive lasted approximately a week and a half before Debski collected the donated items and dropped them off at Acacia Network in Queens, NY to be sent to Puerto Rico.
