Published on June 14, 2017
The USciences Society of Physics Students (SPS) did an after-school mentoring program
session at the Western Philadelphia headquarters of Mighty Writers.
Mighty Writers is a volunteer Philadelphia organization dedicated to mentoring kids 7-17 years of age, with emphasis on thinking and writing with clarity.
SPS members and its advisor Dr. Ramos helped kids experience hands-on physics demonstrations of different physics and write essays about their experiences. This outreach was funded by a $500 grant from the national SPS office.
