The United States Public Health Service (USPHS) and the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) have selected USciences as the recipient of the 2020 Excellence in Interprofessional Education Collaboration National Award.

This award is given to a team of health professional students and/or faculty whose work has significantly impacted the community. The winning project, titled “An Interprofessional Approach to International Outreach Experiences” was a collaboration between Pharmacy and Occupational Therapy faculty and students who worked together to treat patients in need during a medical mission  trip to Guatemala.

Those involved will be recognized at the June 2020 IPEC Meeting held at the Association of American Medical Colleges headquarters in Washington, D.C.
