Undergraduate Research Week was recognized across the United States and as part of
the celebration, the University held the 2019 USciences CUR Undergraduate Research
Festival. The event was one of 55 campus celebrations showcased by the National Council
on Undergraduate Research website.
The USciences event featured various events including an "Images of Research and Scholarship" Exhibit-Competition, "Two-Minute Elevator Research Talk" Competition, “Research Speed-Meet” (5-minute speed dating between faculty and potential research students), an Alumni Career Research Panel, CUR Recognition Lunch, and the 7th Undergraduate Research Symposium.
The week of April 11 has been recognized as Undergraduate Research Week since 2010, when the U.S. House of Representatives made an official declaration. USciences celebrates the week in mid-March.
