USciences Adds Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Published on February 3, 2020

Electric vehicle charging stationsElectric vehicle charging stations were installed in the University’s main parking lot on campus offering the USciences community the ability to charge their electric vehicles. The two charging stations are located near Goodman Hall and each station can accommodate two vehicles each. Currently electric vehicle owners are able to charge at no cost.

Instructions for using the units, which are intended for electric vehicles only, appear on the screens on the front of each unit. Parking in each of these four designated locations is for electric vehicles only. Once vehicles are fully charged the vehicles should be moved in order to allow others to use the spaces.

USciecnes obtained a rebate from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to cover a portion of the initial investment in the stations.
