Students Learn About Undergraduate Research at Annual CUR Program

The Center for Undergraduate Research (CUR) kicked off its yearly program with a Seminar-Student Panel Discussion on "Get Involved in Undergraduate Research!" on October 24, 2019. The event, attended by 35 undergrads, opened with an introduction to undergraduate research at USciences and the resources made available by CUR founding director and associate professor of physics, Roberto Ramos PhD.
Four undergraduate students who received USciences Undergraduate Research Foundation (USURF) research awards to do faculty-mentored summer research then participated in a panel discussion.
The four students were Conor Glass PH/TX’21, Victoria Pobok MedHum’20, Bio’20, Madhavi Shah DPT’24, and Shannon Watson Neuro’20.
The next CUR Seminar "How to Apply for Paid Research Experiences and Summer Research Internships" will be on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 1 to 2 p.m. in STC 237.
