Student Presents at PharmedOut Conference

Gail Groves Scott MPH’16, recently presented an abstract at the PharmedOut 2021 International Virtual Conference. “Cutting the Cord: Curtailing Commercial Influence on Healthcare.”
Scott’s abstract, entitled “When Pharmacovigilance and Pharmaceutical Marketing Intersect: Sales Reps, ‘Pill Mills’ and Policy Gaps,” was based on research she developed in Fall 2020 that explores the drug overdose epidemic through policy and case analysis.
PharmedOut is a Georgetown University Medical Center project that advances evidence-based prescribing and educated healthcare professionals about pharmaceutical marketing.
