Professor Shares New Pedagogies in Physics with Colleges in the Philippines

Associate Professor of Physics Roberto Ramos, PhD, recently gave a webinar entitled “New Pedagogy for Teaching Physics” to over 350 college physics teachers in the Philippines. This event was sponsored by the Philippines’ physics society, Samahang Pisika, in collaboration with five Philippine universities, and the Department of Education of Iligan City, Philippines.
In his talk, Dr. Ramos shared advances in the pedagogies in physics that he uses in his own work including the use of flipped classes, physics demonstration videos, story-telling, and the use of summer camps to promote diversity and inclusion.
