PPA Recognizes Nirali Patel PharmD’17 with Outstanding Pharmacy Student Award

The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association (PPA) presented Nirali Patel PharmD’17 with the 2017 Outstanding Pharmacy Student Award.
Patel has been active in the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association, attending Legislative
Day and numerous conferences. She also competed in the Achieving Independence Competition
with fellow PCP students where they presented their concept for starting a new pharmacy
or purchasing an existing Pennsylvania pharmacy and implementing a new idea.
Patel made the Dean’s List a number of times throughout her time at the Philadelphia
College of Pharmacy and was involved in other professional pharmacy organizations
including, the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and the Pennsylvania Society
of Health-System Pharmacists (PSHP).
Founded in 1878, the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association is a professional membership
organization of more than 2,300 pharmacists and pharmacy students across the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania, representing almost all facets of pharmacy practice. As the leading
voice of pharmacy in Pennsylvania, it promotes the profession through advocacy, education,
and communication to enhance patient care and public health.
