Physics Students, Faculty Attend Society of Physics Students Meeting

SPS Meeting

Two USciences physics majors, sophomore Gopal Goberdhan and freshman Matthew Becker, along with Society of Physics Students (SPS) Advisor Dr. Roberto Ramos participated in the annual SPS Zone 3 Meeting held at Rutgers University (New Brunswick campus) on April 6, 2019.

USciences SPS was one of eight university chapters attending. The physics meeting featured student research talks, professional and career development workshops, diversity workshop, physics tours, and career talks a medical physicist and other industrial physicists.

The one-day physics conference, hosted last year on the USciences campus, was organized this year by Rutgers University and NJIT SPS chapters, under the mentorship of Dr. Ramos who is the SPS Zone Councilor for the New Jersey/Pennsylvania/Delaware region.
