Physics Professor Represents Delaware/NJ/Pennsylvania in National Council Meeting

SPS councilDr. Roberto Ramos, associate professor of physics, attended the national council meeting of the Society of Physics Students and Sigma Sigma Physics Honor Society at the American Center for Physics, College Park, MD on Sept 21-24.
Dr. Ramos serves as the elected national councilor representing the states of Delaware, New Jersey, and most of Pennsylvania. SPS has more than 700 chapters at colleges and universities across the United States while Sigma Pi Sigma, the physics honor society, has over 575 chapters with 75,000 historical members.
The National Council discussed strategic planning for both organizations, including the planning for the 100th year anniversary of Sigma Pi Sigma in 2021.
