Physics Professor Elected to Physics Honor Society and Physics Society National Council

Dr. Ramos and USciences Physics majors attend the local zone meeting of the Society of Physics Students at Swarthmore College, where Ramos gave the keynote address.Dr. Roberto Ramos was elected to the National Council of the Sigma Pi Sigma Physics Honor Society and Society of Physics Students. He is the Zone Councilor for Zone 3 (Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Delaware) for a three-year term.

The Council governs the Society of Physics Students, which represents more than 4,000 physics undergraduate students at over 700 colleges and universities across the United States, while Sigma Pi Sigma is the Physics Honor Society with over 50,000 lifetime members.

Dr. Ramos also delivered the keynote address to the Zone 3 Meeting of the Society of Physics Students at Swarthmore College
