Ally Patterson DPT’19 has been selected as the 2018 recipient of the Dr. Tom Stewart Award presented at the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association (PPTA) Annual Conference at Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia at the Brew and Business Event on Saturday October 20, 2018.

In the Spring of 2017, Patterson volunteered at the southeast district’s mini-Combined Sections Meeting for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA CSM). This year, she coordinated the student volunteers from our University to attend this event.

As a member of the PPTA Student Assembly in the southeast district, Patterson assists in coordinating events for students from all over the area, not just for those in our university.

Ally displays leadership nationwide. She was elected to be the secretary for the Board of Directors of the Student Assembly this past fall. She has traveled to many events to promote student involvement with the APTA, including the 2017 National Student Conclave, the 2018 Combined Sections Meeting of the APTA, and the 2018 APTA NEXT Conference and Exposition in in June. Patterson has a passion for physical therapy that comes through in all she does.
