Pharmacy Students, Faculty Present at ASHP Midyear Annual Meeting

Five pharmacy students resented research at the ASHP Midyear Annual Meeting in Anaheim, California in December.

Melissa Nguyen PharmD’19 and Ron Lodise PharmD’19 presented research they conducted with Madeline King and Lucia Rose. Nguyen presented “ Evaluation of asympomatic bacteriuria in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery.” Lodise presented “Outcomes associated with pre-oprative asymptomatic bacteriuria treatment in patients undergoing joint arthroplasty”.

Lodise, Vincent Louanphom PharmD’19, and Emma Mongell PharmD’19 presented “Description of medical services on a pharmacy-driven, short-term medical mission trip in Guatemala.”

Julie Paris PharmD’20 presented “Development of Collaborative Organization Structure to Promote Professional Advancement”. Julie collaborated with Darshan Patel PharmD’20 and associate professor Angela Bingham PharmD and assistant professor Brooklyn Cobb PharmD.

Dr. Bingham presented “Practical Approaches to Safe and Appropriate Use of Parenteral Nutrition Therapy”
