Pharmacy Student Selected for American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Award

Melissa Dang PharmD’20 was selected to receive the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition New Practitioner Award for the Student and Trainee Section. 

This national award recognizes a new practitioner from any healthcare profession who has already made substantial contributions to the field of nutrition support and who has demonstrated a commitment to further the science and practice of clinical nutrition. 

In part, this award recognizes Dr. Dang’s research regarding the impact of obesity on glycemic control in adult hospitalized patients initiated on parenteral nutrition. Her team also included: Justin Delic, Jim Hollands, and Laura Pontiggia.
