Pharmacy Faculty, Students, Alumni Attend NJPhA Meeting

NJPhAFaculty, students and alumni from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy attended the 2018 NJPhA Meeting in Atlantic City in November. 

Tim NguyenPharmD'02 received the Frederick B. Kilmer Award, Aakash GandhiPharmD'17 was named the pharmacist mutual distinguished young pharmacist, and Dan Distefano PharmD'13 received the NASPA Excellence in Innovation Award. 

Mark Taylor P'91 was inducted as president elect and Grace Earl P'86, PharmD'92 was inducted as vice president of the organization. 

Nicole Ayers PharmD'19 presented a poster "Research Process to Improve Access to Medications in a Student-Run Free Clinic." PharmD students including Jessica Orozco PharmD'22 and Sarah Mahmoud PharmD'20 participated in legislative activity by supporting a bill to promote immunizations.  

Students Karminna Ezpeleta PharmD'21, Minkyung (Mia) Kim PharmD'23, Mahmoud, Marques Williams PharmD'20, and Monica Nguyen PharmD'20 also participated in the Student Pharmacist Self-Care Championship.
