Laura Finn, BCGP, FASCP and Deborah Summers, M.S., PA-C were notified that
"Incorporating lnterprofessional Collaboration into Team Decision-making" has been accepted for a poster presentation at the Lilly Conference - Designing Effective Teaching on May 31, 2019, in Bethesda, Maryland. Aspects of this research were presented in November 2018 at the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists Annual Meeting under the title "Impact of a Simulated lnterprofessional Geriatric Team Experience on Pharmacy and Physician Assistant Students' Confidence in Medication Appropriateness."
Ed Foote made a podium presentation, entitled, "lnterprofessional Education and Collaboration to Improve Patient Safety" at the 10th Annual Current Concepts in Medication Safety at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine (GCSOM) on March 27, 2019.
Lisa Charneski, Suzanne Carbonaro, Laura Mandos, Karen Tietze, Jesse Swartz, and Sarah Kleinfeld had their abstract, "The impact of an individualized early intervention system on student learning in a competency-driven curriculum" accepted for a poster presentation at the 2019 AACP Annual Meeting in Chicago.
Lisa Charneski, Suzanne Carbonaro, Laura Mandos, Tyan Thomas, Karen Tietze, Jane Bowen, Islam Ghazi, Jesse Swartz, and Sarah Kleinfeld submitted a portfolio on the competency-driven curriculum to the AACP 2019 Award for Excellence in Assessment, and it received an honorable mention. The awards panel selected just one honorable mention from among the portfolios submitted, and they will present a poster at the July annual meeting.
